Job Description
Under general direction, manages a section by planning, assigning, directing, and reviewing the work of a group of survey technicians and professional personnel engaged in land survey activities or the processing of map applications and the monument preservation and maintenance program. Performs other related duties as required.
Essential Duties:
Qualifications
Four years of experience supervising survey parties.
Possession of a valid California Professional Land Surveyor License, or a valid California Civil Engineer license (issued in 1981 or before).
Possession of a valid California driver license (at least Class C).
Note: At least one year of experience in county subdivision mapping is required for the position located in the Bureau of Street Use and Mapping at the Department of Public Works in addition to the Minimum Qualifications above.

SALARY: $129,636 - $157,612 annually

APPOINTMENT TYPE: Permanent- Exempt (PEX). The Office of City Administrator - Department of Public Works has an opening for an exempt appointment in San Francisco. The position is excluded by the charter from competitive civil service examination process. The successful candidate shall serve at the discretion of the appointing officer. This position has an anticipated duration of up to three (3) years.
