Job Description
Pursuant to San Francisco Charter Section 10.104-16, Category 16, temporary and seasonal appointments are limited to half-time (1040 hours of service) in a fiscal year.
POSITION ONE – Psychiatric Occupational Therapist
Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital
The Psychiatric OT Dept is seeking OT’s that enjoy and have experience working with people who have chronic and acute mental health conditions, many of whom have co-occurring substance use issues. The OT will provide treatment in Psychiatric Emergency, Jail-Psychiatric unit, Acute and Sub-Acute Psychiatric units.

Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center
Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center is a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center owned and operated by the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Located on a 62-acre campus in the heart of the city, Laguna Honda is one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in the United States and represents one of the most extensive commitments by any city or county to therapeutic care for seniors and adults with disabilities. In addition, Laguna Honda offers Acute Rehabilitation services, SNF Rehabilitation services, Long-Term SNF, and Outpatient, for residents of the City and County of San Francisco. Occupational Therapists who have experience working with the under-served population who have neurological impairments such as traumatic and acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, as well as polytrauma and hand therapy, will be an asset. Staff may be required to work weekends and/or holidays. In addition, staff may be flexed to work at other designated SFHN locations.

Possession of a valid Occupational Therapy License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT);
OR
Acceptance by the California Board of Occupational Therapy for the next examination of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.
