Job Description
SFO is hiring! Are you a college student with a major in Engineering, Architecture, Planning, and Computer science/Information services? We offer summer interns on-the-job experience under the guidance of experienced professional engineers, architects, planners, and surveyors!
SFO Internship Programs are available in the four (4) divisions below:
SFO’s Design & Construction office is responsible for the long-term planning of the Airport, as well as the development, design & construction of all Airport infrastructure projects. This office oversees the architecture, engineering, and project management staff.
Information Technology & Telecommunications
SFO’s Information Technology & Telecommunications (ITT) office provides world-class customer service and security in state-of-the-art facilities. SFO employs a range of modern technology solutions and platforms to support the delivery of the Airport’s business goals. The Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITT) Section, comprised of 100 staff and managers, oversees SFO’s information technology services.
SFO’s Landside Operations oversees the Airport’s transportation planners, traffic engineering and ground transportation services to ensure passengers are moved efficiently on and off the Airport; encourages the use of alternative transportation modes by airport passengers, employees, and ground transportation providers; and disseminates accurate information on ground transportation programs and services to promote their use.
SFO’s Resiliency and Sustainability office looks to the future and focuses on efforts to ensure that SFO is well prepared to manage through the various impacts of the climate crisis, including sea level rise and energy reliability, and achieve our highly ambitious environmental goals.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: At the time of submitting application, you must be enrolled in an accredited university or a community college.
Experience:
No previous experience is necessary. However, previous internship experience may be used to determine the possible level of classification for which you are hired.

Applicants must submit a signed statement explaining why transcripts cannot be obtained by the filing date. Extension requests will be granted on a case-by-case basis.
