The City of Mesa has a great opportunity for Part-time, Non-Benefited Recruiter to primarily post recruitments and screen applications for qualifications 19 hours per week during the City's Monday - Thursday business hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm. The specific schedule each day is somewhat flexible, and the work location is 20 E. Main Street, Mesa, AZ 85210 with parking included nearby. The Human Resources Recruiter classification is an entry professional level class which performs responsible work in various assignments including routine recruitments and testing and other Human Resources functions. Work involves the acquisition and application of professional knowledge and judgment with collaboration, direction, and guidance from the HR Analyst team. The current assignment is expected to primarily handle routine and high-volume recruitments for departments throughout the City involving receiving the requisitions to establishing the list of eligible applicants, which includes creating job announcements, supplemental questions, and employment advertisements; screening applications for specific minimum and preferred qualifications; and referring eligible applications to hiring managers and sending status notifications to applicants. A Recruiter may also be assigned to various projects/teams. This class performs related duties as required, and the Part-Time assignment is FLSA nonexempt. The ideal candidate would have recruiting experience involving posting recruitments and screening applications for qualifications, preferably in a municipal environment using an on-line application and tracking system. Any combination of training, education, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree with major coursework in Human Resources Management, Public or Business Administration, or a related field.
