Job Description
The Engineering Co-op will assist the Plant Engineer in the collection and analysis of information for assigned projects that relate to the operation of a water treatment plant. Typical examples of performed duties include: water sample collection and laboratory analysis; jar testing to confirm chemical dosages; the collection, graphing and analysis of data from water quality instrumentation; participation in studies that determine detention time and sample line integrity; participation in annual filter inspections. Student’s exposures to hazardous and/or bio-hazardous materials are minimal to none. They do use 1:1 dilute HCL solution to clean glass wares, however they wear appropriate personal protective equipment such as a lab coat, safety glasses and gloves. Qualifications: Must have a valid PA driver's license. Some experience using spreadsheets and word processing in a Windows environment is desirable. Students should have an interest in environmental studies, specifically in learning about potable water treatment.

Applicants are required to meet the following minimum requirements:
- Must be enrolled as a full-time student
- Valid driver’s license preferred, though a personal vehicle is not required.
