    Job Description

    This position reports to the Director of the PHLpreK program and will be primarily responsible for the engagements and event planning with early childhood providers within the PHLpreK program. This includes:

    • Oversight and management of a monthly newsletter from the Office of Children and Families’ ECE division to PHLpreK Providers
    • Developing materials, establishing agendas, taking notes, and coordinating regular meetings with Providers, as hosted by the PHLpreK team
    • Developing materials, establishing agendas, taking notes, and coordinating meetings with the PHLpreK Provider Advisory
    • Establishing clear feedback loops between PHLpreK Providers (both current and potential) and the PHLpreK Administrative team
    • Coordinate, schedule, and support site visits with PHLpreK Providers
    • Coordinate and ensure alignment with other City departments, local partners, and early learning agencies communicating updates and necessary deadlines with other local early learning programs

    The PHLpreK Provider Engagement Coordinator is largely responsible for overseeing the communications to Providers in writing, verbal, and other presentation modes. The Engagement Coordinator is further responsible for developing communication strategies that reflect the needs of children and families with Providers and teachers as the focus.

    • Engage with Providers to understand needs of the PHLpreK program (in coordination with the Quality Support Center)
    • Manage and coordinate communication for Provider facing initiatives which includes (but is not limited to), Newsletters, Presentations, Notices/memos, blogs, website etc.
    • Plan and execute effective and engaging Provider meetings
    • Co-planning (in coordination with the QSC) Provider Advisory Meetings
    • Provide feedback to OCF ECE leadership team to enhance strategies to reach Providers and keep them engaged.
    • Coordinate Provider events both virtually and in-person
    • Bridge the relationship between Providers and OCF’s ECE Division
    • Utilize innovative approaches to meet Provider needs
    • Ensure that Providers receive PHLpreK marketing materials throughout the year
    • Ensure that Providers have family engagement materials as needed
    • Perform site visits regularly

    COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Capable and detail-oriented multitasker who can prioritize and remain professional in demanding situations.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s licensing and certification requirements of childcare providers.
    • Knowledge of and familiarity with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s Quality Rating System, Keystone STARS.
    • Ability to interpret relevant local, state, and federal rules and regulations pertaining to childcare program administration.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to learn quickly and succeed in a rapidly changing environment.
    • Experience crafting and presenting engaging, high-quality presentations and messaging for diverse audiences.
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Ability to project manage a variety of tasks while meeting deadlines.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in, or similar field required
    • At least 1-3 years of overall professional experience
    • Early Childhood experience preferred
    • Experience with public speaking, presentations, and engagement
    • Data Analytics experience preferred
    • Knowledge of word processing software, presentations, spreadsheets, and databases

    Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000
