Job Description
The City is looking for a part-time HR Intern to perform various administrative tasks and support for our HR unit in performing daily activities. The future Intern should be interested in learning more about the various aspects of Human Resources. The intern will assist in a variety of tasks including researching, data gathering, organizing, and coordinating activities for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives and Career Planning/Development. Specifically, this intern will aid the DPD Human Resources division in creating and organizing internal operating procedures and manuals. They will also be expected to attend and participate in daily/weekly HR meetings.
Essential Functions
• Prepare HR-related reports as needed
• Participate in organizing company events and career days
• Prepare Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents
• Work proactively with other team members
• Prioritize activities in the best interests of the team when working on joint projects
• Complete written projects and research topics to improve the organization
• Develop Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives

Work-Life
Working hours are generally 15-20 hours per week. Our team is currently hybrid with both virtual and in-office days, however remote options are available.
Qualifications
Enrolled in an accredited college/university program.

Hourly Rate: $15
