Job Description
The Emergency Management Tier II Intern will assist in the collection and management of fees from companies throughout the city who are required under federal law to submit reports on chemical storage. This includes preparing and sending invoices, collecting and depositing payments, and tracking companies who are delinquent in their reporting requirements. Additionally, the intern will attend the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meetings and assist the Health and Medical Planning Coordinator accordingly.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in emergency management or upper-level interagency coordination. Beyond the Tier II reporting, opportunities may include participation in any Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations, as well as participation in drills and exercises.

SALARY: Up to a $5,000 USD stipend ($15.00 per hour)

NOTE: This is a temporary position that is grant-funded. Candidates must be able to work between 10-20 hours a week for the approximate period of February 2021 to June 2021. Flexible scheduling may be available on a case by case basis.
