Job Description
This position will assist the boards and commissions of the Department of Planning and Development. The primary responsibilities of this position will be to assist in planning and implementing the comprehensive plan, conduct research and analysis related to planning efforts, assisting with field survey work, updating databases, and assist in outreach and civic engagement opportunities throughout the city of Philadelphia. Additionally, this position will gain exposure to the multiple services provided by Department of Planning and Development, the Art, City Planning, and Historical Commissions, and the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)
FOR PLANNING COMMISSION INTERNSHIPS, candidates should be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in city planning, urban studies, geography, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, historic preservation or a related field.
FOR HISTORICAL COMMISSION INTERNSHIPS, candidates should be enrolled in a graduate degree program related to historic preservation.
