Job Description

The Communications Unit for DPD and PHDC is looking for an intern for the Fall of 2022. We are looking for a dynamic student studying communication to work on the following:

• Community Relation Projects: Projects to track community engagement across partners
• 311: Work with 311 to make sure Philadelphians are getting the correct housing and community development information
• Social Media projects: Work with Social Media Coordinator on ideas for content
• Writing and Editing: Assist in writing and/or editing web copy, blog post, press releases, media advisories and other verbiage on behalf of DPD and PHDC

Qualifications

Background in Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Journalism, and/or Communication

Candidates that possess educational studies, internships and/or interest in the fields of Journalism, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Advertising or Communication

COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Experience with business writing, editing, data collection, data entry, social media are a plus

Hourly wage: $15/hr
