Diversity Equity Inclusion and Health Intern
Job Description
DIVERSITY EQUITY AND INCLUSION (DEI) This intern will work with the DEI Reconciliation Subcommittee to:
- Assist staff with drafting a Storymap that details the history of racial discrimination in and related to City Planning in Philadelphia, and current and recommended methods to reconcile the impact of those biases. Work also includes assisting staff with historical research and analysis of similar initiatives in other cities.
- Assist in beginning to create a DEI Committee structure

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist the Riverwards and Community Health Planners with ongoing research to support Diversity/Equity/Inclusion work and Public Health zoning.
COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Writing skills are critical. Experience in using historic/archived non-digital records is appreciated. . Interest in DEI work, planning, history and public health issues. Other pertinent skills will be taught on the job
Qualifications
At least one year of an undergraduate program.
