    Job Description

    The Comprehensive Planning team is looking for a fall intern to assist in research for various planning topics, and to support the Comprehensive Planning team on administrative, operational and grant funded projects; Assist in preparing for the Comp Plan Update Steering Cmte meetings;

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    Under the direction of the Comprehensive Planning team, an intern is responsible for supporting various aspects of research and development as the City Planning Commission embarks on an update to the City's official comprehensive plan.  An intern will help with administrative and research tasks for the project.

    • Interest in planning, historic preservation, community engagement, project management
    • Ability to function professionally
    • Strong research skills
    • Strong writing and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to communicate effectively orally
    • Ability to maintain effective working relationships and develop partnerships
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Ability to learn new online software
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Current college undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in city planning, historic preservation, community engagement, project management, or public administration.

    Hourly wage: $15/hr
