Job Description
Load Control co-op will assist professional engineers during filed work performing hydrant flow tests, water quality investigations, low flow/pressure investigations and special investigations, prepares sketches, maps, reports, compiles data and runs hydraulic simulations. Student receives training in ArcGIS, InfoWater hydraulic modeling, Access data base update and safety training.
Essential Functions
Specific work tasks include:
• Utilize GIS based work order management system to track water distribution and transmission valve operations.
• Assist with the creation of post construction inspections (PCI’s) at the close of water main contracts and receipt of inspector’s sketches.
• Preparation of CADD drawings
• Occasional field work gathering infrastructure data and/or visiting water system improvement projects.
• Gather/compile/process various water supply system records/data for special projects.
• Assist engineer in conducting various water system field projects including:
o Fire flow tests o Transmission main disinfections o Low pressure/poor flow investigations

This full-time co-op position, schedules will be determined during the interview. The position may require candidates to work hybrid schedules, which means in-person and remote workdays.
