Job Description
Architectural & Engineering Co-op intern(s) will be utilizing knowledge that they learn in school to assist Architects and Engineers in providing project management services to the He Health and Human Services (HHS) team and its client agencies. The HHS team manages all of the Capital Improvement Projects for the Health Centers, Libraries, Fleet Garages, and Residential Shelters. The project managers for the HHS team act as planners, designers and construction managers of capital improvement projects. The Architectural/or Engineering Co improvement projects. The Architectural/or Engineering Co- op will work directly with the HHS team project managers in bringing our client needs into reality. This internship will provide a Co-op with a complete overview of all aspects of public works design and construction from initial conceptual planning to final construction and move-in by our client agencies. Tasks may include design studies of building improvements. Prepare schematic, preliminary, and final design drawings. Conduct inspection of construction work. Perform interior building surveys and existing buildings. Preparation of budgets, cost estimates, reviewing drawings, and construction documents, meeting with clients, design professionals, contractors, and other city agencies.

Compensation: $15-$17/hr commensurate with expereince
