Job Description
The employee is responsible for designing, developing, and documenting comprehensive and intricate programs, utilizing technical expertise to create detailed software and preparing complete documentation. This role is distinguished from the next lower level due to the heightened complexity of programming, increased autonomy, and more sophisticated assignments, as well as the greater responsibility for analyzing systems and procedures.
As a member of the database group, the Oracle PL/SQL developer is responsible for delivering comprehensive database support, with a focus on back-end programming. This role involves maintaining source code sets and technical documentation, as well as assisting in overall database maintenance. The developer will leverage their expertise in Oracle database development to drive the successful implementation of browser-based, enterprise software products. An employee in this class writes programs, tests, debugs and analyzes the results of programs. The employee gives technical guidance, functional supervision and assistance to programmers of lower classification and trainees. May act as a lead worker for procedures, program development and design. The employee works under the direction of a technical supervisor who assigns work, gives general guidance and technical assistance in various stages of development and design.

Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in various technologies, including:
Oracle databases (12c, 19c)
Operating systems (Windows, Linux, and higher)
WebLogic, APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, PRO*C, and PL/SQL programming languages
Experience with web development frameworks (HTML5, CSS3, .NET, PHP, WebServices, IIS)
Strong programming skills, including problem-solving, block methods, and techniques
Ability to work independently and with team to make sound judgments in writing programs
Expertise in performance tuning SQL, application programs, and instances
Strong analytical skills to comprehend, evaluate, interpret, and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
Ability to research and manage complex data requests
Excellent communication skills to present clear and concise reports (oral, graphic, and written)
Ability to prepare technical reports and manuals
Ability to provide technical assistance, problem resolution, and troubleshooting support
Familiarity with new and emerging technologies

Salary Range: $65,108 - $72,004 (P23)
