  • Responsibilities

    Job Description

    The OPE Intern supports the work of the Office of Public Engagement by supporting its administrative functions and communications activities, staffing events, supporting programming development and execution, and facilitating ongoing data entry and tracking. 

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Will support the engagement efforts for OPE and the Office of Civic Engagement and Volunteer Services
    • Responsible for data entry, document filing and organization and other administrative work
    • Supporting the logistical planning and execution of small and large scale events
    • Light editing and writing social media content, memos and emails for mass distribution
    • Research various issues and topics, compile relevant data and draft briefing docs on pertinent issues, as need arises
    • Other duties as assigned
    • Some evenings and weekends required

     

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Available 10-15 hours a week
    • Previous experience in social media
