Job Description

The intern will assist Philly311’s community engagement team in outreach programs as well as provide administrative support for internal processes. The position will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects supporting the City’s quality of life initiatives. The intern will gain experience in communications, community education, as well as data analysis.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Create and edit content for internal and external communication efforts, including social media, newsletters, and community informational resources.
• Conduct research and data collection to support outreach programs and internal operations.
• Assist in coordinating engagement programs and events.
• Provide administrative support to the community engagement team.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE)

• Enrolled in degree program or recent graduate.
• Experience in content creation is a plus.

COMPETENCIES, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Familiarity with social media.
