    Job Description

    This position works with the AVCGP Program Managers and fiduciary partner to ensure timely payments to grantees. Staff will also monitor both the fiduciary and technical assistance partners, for fiscal and contract compliance. This is a financial position that will report directly to the ASU Director of Administration.

    Essential Functions

    The AVCPG Fiscal Analyst will be responsible for the following duties:

    • Attend weekly meetings with AVCPG program managers and fiscal partner.
    • Monitor contract compliance of fiduciary provider by performing desk reviews of supporting documentation.
    • Ensure timely and accurate payments to grantees through collaboration with fiscal partner and AVCGP program staff.
    • Ensure timely and accurate payments to fiscal partner and technical assistance providers.
    • Ensure timely conformance of contracts for fiscal partner and technical assistance providers.
    • Work with fiscal partner to resolve any grantee payment and/or budgetary issues.
    • Other duties as required.

    Competencies, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of:

    • Accounting principles and practices
    • Microsoft Office Suite Software
    • City systems (FAMIS and ACIS) recommended, but not required.

    Skills:

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    Ability to:

    • Analyze and comprehend organizational and procedural problems and make recommendations.
    • Implement policy and procedural changes.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with departmental staff, contracted agencies, and the public.
    • Maintain accurate and complete financial records.

    Work-Life

    Working hours are generally 37.5 hours per week. Our team is currently hybrid with both remote and in-office days; however, the position can opt to come in the office each day if desired. All Administrative Services Unit (ASU) Staff are required to work in the office at least two (2) days per week.

    Qualifications

    ** Preferred Education and Experience:**

    • Completion of a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance or business administration.
    • Three (3) years of experience in budget, accounting or auditing at a governmental agency or non-profit organization.

    Salary Range: $72,000 - $80,000
