Multimodal Community Coordinator Salary Range: $55,000-$75,000
Job Description
Position Summary:
The City of Philadelphia seek a highly motivated, flexible, creative, and independent coordinator with excellent communication, interpersonal, and project coordination and management skills to join the City in the role of Multimodal Community Coordinator. The Community Coordinator will be involved in the implementation of a range of complete streets projects and advancing the goals of the City’s CONNECT Transportation Plan and Vision Zero Action Plan. Through their work and projects, the Community Coordinator will advance transportation equity and make Philadelphia a safer, more accessible city for all roadway users.
The Community Coordinator will be part of a team of planners, engineers, and other professionals with a portfolio of projects in a specific region of the city. This position is responsible for developing community relationships in these neighborhoods while also supporting projects throughout Philadelphia. They will collaborate closely with the team to assure that the community voice is centered in each project that OTIS undertakes. The Community Coordinator will be a liaison—they will build relationships to ensure the voices of the community members are represented, and they will also advocate for the importance of each project within the communities where they will be built. The Community Coordinator will be responsible for making sure that the work of the project team is clear, concise, and communicated to the external stakeholders and community members who will be impacted.
