The intern will assist in the management and daily operations of the Community Center. Answering phone calls greeting and assisting patrons. Performs various administrative duties. Will step in as necessary to assist with summer camps. Manage a summer volleyball league as well as a summer basketball league. Work closely with Director and Assistant Director to learn the skills needed to work in the career. Gain valuable network connections throughout the department. Work with other summer interns on a group project that will be presented at end of summer. Good knowledge of computer software such as Word, Excel. Power Point, Publisher, etc. Comfortable supervising children through a summer camp experience. Pleasant attitude; dynamic, highly motivated and creative. Must have strong interpersonal, leadership and conflict resolution skills. Needs to be organized, responsible and efficient. American Red Cross CPR/First Aid certification preferred. Multi-task oriented is a necessity. Requires ability to work a flex schedule and must be able to work nights and weekends. Typical Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Must be currently enrolled in a university that requires an internship for credit. At least 2 years of college preferred.
