JOB SUMMARY:

Under general direction, is responsible for performing specialized work at a City building or other public sites to include the maintenance of equipment and repair and/or physical operation of City buildings including cleaning and setting for events. May exercise functional supervision over assigned staff. Work Location:  The work location and work days and hours will vary based on operational needs of the department.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency).
• Four (4) years of experience in building/facilities maintenance, including two (2) years of supervisory or management experience.
• This position requires a valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License OR valid driver's license from another state with the ability to obtain a valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Use of your own personal vehicle may at time be required and proof of Liability Insurance will be required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Supervisory experience.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Experience setting areas for events and ability to read/understand setups, blueprints and diagrams. 
• Microsoft Office Proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
