Trashmore Department/Division Parks & Recreation - Part Time Positions Job Type Part Time Apply Now Requisition ID: 25619 Work Location: Parks & Recreation - Various Virginia Beach Locations Pay Range: H.3058, $11.50 - $11.50 Starting Salary: Stated Hourly Rate Work Schedule: varied days, evenings, weekend and holidays or varied by program schedule Part Time Hours/Wk: up to 27 hours per week Application Deadline: 7/15/18 Job Duties: The Parks and Recreation Aide IV duties will include, but not be limited to: Providing customer service and enforce rules and regulations Serve as site supervisor in absence of full time staff Supervising part time staff and volunteers Make park/facility/program decisions based on inclement weather about program delays, closures or cancellations in the absence of full time staff Provide routing maintenance and construction of park areas, amenities and equipment Collecting user fees/money, keeping and balancing records/reports Individual will work in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions Assist with and/or manage special event participation Report incidents/accident and discrepancies Some locations require clean up and supervision of open range dog parks Perform housekeeping/custodial duties including cleaning and maintaining all parts of the public restrooms and empty large park trash cans Open and close facilities Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work rotating shifts (days/evenings/midnights) including weekends and holidays and be available to work overtime when required to meet operational needs.
