Examples of Duties Performs semi-skilled craft work in a variety of craft areas; works on a crew and performs semi-skilled work in area of assignment; performs varied duties depending upon the craft area to which assigned; however, the assignments are normally in the following areas: Assists in installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment and controls, including installing related piping and electrical systems; performs pipefitting work, preventive maintenance on a variety of building operational systems; tests and treats boiler water; recharges refrigerant systems. Assists in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic lighting, data communication, security, control, street lighting and related systems; performs installation and repair of motors, generators, transformers, conduit, and interior wiring components.
