    Maintenance - Code Enforcement - Part Time - Temporary Salary $12.22 Hourly Location Naples, FL Job Type Part Time, Temporary Department Growth Management Department Job Number 05000 Closing 1/3/2019 11:59 PM Eastern Purpose of Classification The purpose of this classification is to perform semi-skilled or unskilled work to support the Code Enforcement Division. Works assigned weekend shifts (Saturdays and Sundays). Essential Functions Performs general/manual tasks associated with division projects; removes signs from the county right of way, sets up safe work zones at work sites, places traffic cones/signs, climbs ladders; sets up or arranges equipment for special events/activities; assists with cleanup following hurricanes, storms, or emergency situations. Assists skilled-trade employees or other workers as needed. Performs general cleaning/maintenance tasks necessary to keep equipment and tools in operable condition, which may include inspecting equipment, checking/replacing fluids, refueling vehicles, greasing equipment, washing/cleaning equipment, cleaning project work areas, or cleaning shop; monitors equipment operations to maintain efficiency and safety; reports faulty equipment. Transports, loads, and unloads equipment and materials used in projects Responds to questions, complaints and requests from the general public, business/property owners or other individuals regarding the removal of signs from the right of way. Establishes and maintains positive public relations and informs and educates business owners and homeowners as necessary. Follows safety procedures, utilizes safety equipment, and monitors work environment to ensure safety of employees and other individuals. Prepares or completes various forms, reports, correspondence, daily activity logs, inspection forms, work orders, maintenance records, operates a personal computer as necessary to complete essential functions, to include the use of word processing, spreadsheet. Documents all activity conducted in assigned position. Operates a motor vehicle to perform work activities. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred; supplemented by 2 months previous experience and/or training involving grounds maintenance, road maintenance, water utilities maintenance, general building maintenance, equipment operation, and/or maintenance work in area of assignment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License with any applicable endorsements and maintain eligibility requirements and endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.
