Description of Job This is a temporary (9 months) position working approximately 32 hours per week. It does not include any State of Colorado Benefits. The Division of Employment and Training connects job seekers with employers and coordinates the education and training of Colorado's workforce, ensuring the state's economic strength. This is an opportunity for someone that enjoys working with grants, grant management, writing, research and/or evaluation. This is an opportunity for an individual to begin to build their Career Pathway in government, grants and/or social science and cultivate their skills in writing reports, monitoring and quality assurance, and grant management. Pay: $15 -$19 per hour depending on experience Minimum Qualifications, Substitutions, Conditions of Employment & Appeal Rights MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Workforce Development Programs (WDP) is looking for a Junior, Senior, or Graduate student to be a part-time (up to 32 hours per week) Temporary Aide (9 months) to assist staff working on state and Federal grants and programs, evaluations, research and quality assurance. Skills needed: * Proficient in Word and Excel * Good communications skills - oral and written Preferred: * Experience working in a professional office setting * Looking for a Junior, Senior or Graduate student in one of the following areas: English, humanities, social science, human services or closely related field.
