hour work week Characteristics of the Job : Reviews the work of Family
Support Specialists for technical accuracy and program knowledge.
Participates in developing and monitoring corrective action plans.
Determines initial and ongoing eligibility for public assistance; and
performs other duties as required. Minimum Requirement - Education :
Graduate of a college or university with a bachelors degree. Minimum
Requirement - Experience : One year of experience in reviewing,
monitoring, determining eligibility for and/or administering Food
Stamps, Kentucky Transitional Assistance Program, Medical Assistance, or
other public assistance programs. Substitute Education for Experience :
None Substitute Experience for Education : Experience in social work,
counseling, providing direct services to individuals and/or families
(i.e. employment services, community action agencies) or experience in
reviewing, monitoring, determining eligibility for and/or administering
Food Stamps, Kentucky Transitional Assistance, Medical Assistance, or
other public assistance programs will substitute for the required

Duties Reviews the work of Family Support Specialists; participates in
corrective action plans and determines eligibility for public assistance
programs. Interviews clients for public assistance programs. Performs
on-the-job training. Participates in formal training, operates computers
and updates files and records. Gathers information to respond to
inquiries about cases. Identifies resources and makes appropriate
referrals. Tracks processing deadlines for timely case activity and case
hearings. Prepares and maintains case records. Provides supportive
assistance for employment related expenses. Other duties as assigned.
Job Group : PUBLIC ASSISTANCE Additional Requirements : Upon
appointment, employees in this class may be required to maintain a valid
driver's license and required to drive a licensed vehicle. This status
may be necessary for the length of time in this class. If this is
