Provide therapeutic and/or intensive social work services to students and families through an assessment of need and as determined by educational needs including preventive services such as child protection, adult protection, guardianship services, truancy, and services to juvenile offenders. Prepare for and provide expert testimony at court hearings and/or monitors conditions set by the court. Advocates for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students and families. Stay on Call to provide emergency services to students throughout the day, evening, or night, on a 24-hour basis without prior warning. Provide consultation and collaboration with campus staff as well as outside agencies on the welfare of student and families, including the acceptance of referrals for formal and informal investigations. Maintain accurate and confidential records of services and provide documentation as needed for administrative purposes. Perform case management of records and data. Serve as liaison between the school, families, and outside agencies regarding the welfare of students. Helps acquire services for students needing mental health services or special health care services.
