Maximus is seeking a skilled Community Outreach Manager to lead statewide engagement efforts that connect communities with essential services across Mississippi.

This role is responsible for developing and executing outreach strategies, managing field and supervisory staff, and building strong partnerships with agencies and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership, effective communication, and a passion for public engagement to advance the project’s mission and strengthen community relations.

Candidates should currently reside in or near Jackson, Ridgeland, or Yazoo City, Mississippi.

This position is contingent upon award of the program

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Formulate and upkeep a comprehensive statewide community outreach and engagement strategy, integrating insights gathered from internal teams, project leadership, the client, and diverse stakeholders.

- Contribute to the conception, creation, execution, and administration of expansive outreach, educational, and enrollment initiatives.

- Manage the training, guidance, and growth of supervisory personnel.

- Supervise Field Staff to ensure seamless operations.

- Act as a liaison between the client, various agencies, and the organization.

- Champion the project's image and objectives through public speaking engagements and professional presentations at local levels.

- Provide oversight to the Community Relations Department when the Community Relations Senior Manager is absent.

Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Program Specific Requirements:

- 5+ years of related experience required

- Must reside in or near Jackson, Ridgeland, or Yazoo City, Mississippi

- Willing and able to work onsite

- Experience supporting Child Support programs is preferred

- Experience with Community Resource Support services is a plus

- Proficient in Microsoft Office

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
