Who You Are: Do you walk through spaces and see opportunities for a human-centered approach to design? Do you like sketching out ideas to solve real-world problems? Do you enjoy connecting human wants and needs to strategic architectural and urban decisions? You might be a space experience designer, and we would like you to submit your work for a summer internship at our Boston studio! As an EPAM Continuum intern, you will participate on highly-collaborative project teams in service strategy and experience design. You will learn about the role of customer research in our work, sharpen your skills in rapid-prototyping and iterative design, and help us define signature customer experiences for some of the biggest brands, organizations, and institutions in the world. As a Space Intern, youll take your expertise in spatial thinking and design and it to help bring strategies and experiences to life. What You Will Be Doing: * Participate in customer research and analysis to arrive at a strategy * Help generate and articulate design ideas that embody that strategy * Support the development of architectural, urban, and environmental design and service concepts through the generation of sketches, collages, narratives, models, films, etc. * Iterate creatively in search of a solution to a well-defined problem * Immerse in current trends in architecture, technology, and the retail marketplace * Join in and enhance our culture of deep empathy, curiosity, and passion for making * Split your time between client project work, Continuum marketing efforts, and internal research initiatives * Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and people with a diverse range of skills and working styles Who We Are Looking For: * Recent graduate or are pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in: Architecture, Interior Design, Environmental Design, Design Studies * 1-2 years of professional work experience * Continuing education toward an undergraduate degree in architecture, interior design, urban planning, or related field * Proficiency in tools for architectural and visual design, such as: Photoshop, Illustrator, AutoCAD, Sketch-Up, 3D Max, Rhino, and Revit * Strong 2D and 3D visualization and sketching skills * Excellent and strong overall visual, written, and verbal communication skills * Proactive attitude toward work, particularly in understanding and communicating spatial concepts * Comfort analyzing and designing complex systems * Passion for learning new things and experimentation Interested?
