A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment. Employees in this class may be required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance. Minimum Requirements Option 1: Experience: Two (2) years experience preparing cost estimates for commercial construction, remodeling, or capital improvement projects. --OR-- Option 2: Experience: One (1) year experience preparing cost estimates for commercial construction, remodeling, or capital improvement projects. --AND-- Education: Fifteen (15) semester (23 quarter) units in Project Management, Construction Management, Business/Public Administration, or a closely related field. A list of course work is required. Note: Residential building experience is NOT considered qualifying. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will have experience as an Estimator or Senior Project Engineer for commercial construction, remodeling, or capital improvement projects in the public sector.
