    Investigative Technician II Salary $36,462.40 - $50,169.60 Annually Location Throughout San Bernardino County, CA Job Type Full-time Department Multiple County Departments Job Number 18-09102-02 Closing 12/7/2018 5:00 PM Pacific The Job The County of San Bernardino is recruiting for Investigative Technicians II who perform a variety of photo, video, research, and computer-related technical and investigative support functions for trial preparation. Current vacancies exist in the Public Defender's office and the District Attorney's Bureau of Investigations. The resulting eligible list will be used to fill vacancies in both departments as they occur throughout the County. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT 1. Incumbents may be assigned to any office or area within the County. 2. Prior to appointment, applicants will be fingerprinted and must successfully pass a background investigation. 3. Incumbents are required to perform many of their duties in the field. 4. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds may be required. 5. Travel throughout the County is required. A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment. Employees in this class may be occasionally required to use personal vehicles and show proof of automobile liability insurance. Minimum Requirements EDUCATION: Fifteen (15) semester or (23) quarter units of completed college coursework in Administration of Justice, Social/Behavioral Science, Business/Public Administration or closely related. --AND-- EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience in a legal, law enforcement, corrections or investigative agency or department. SUBSTITUTION: One (1) additional year of qualifying experience may substitute for the required education. Desired Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, excel in prioritization, and have outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Experience operating video, audio and photography equipment is also highly desirable.
