    Maximus is currently hiring for a Credentialing Coordinator! This position will be supporting the Independant Practitioner Panel (IPP) program and performs duties associated with the credentialing and recredentialing program for clinical staff, including verification of all necessary provider licenses and credentials information.

    About the Independent Practitioner Panel (IPP):

    Maximus administers the Independent Practitioner Panel (IPP), which is currently looking for a Credentialing Coordinator. The Credentialing Coordinator will be responsible for the credentialing and recredentialing process of the clinical staff. This will include verification of all necessary provider licenses and credential information.     About the Position:

    You will collect all the necessary credentials of incoming providers and perform primary source verifications of all provider credentials, which include licensure, DEA, NPDB, certifications, and additional verifications as required. You will communicate proactively with candidates and staff and guide them through the credentialing process. You will maintain necessary records and documentation required for provider credentialing and re-credentialing.

    This position is full time and fully remote in the state of New York.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Collects credentials of incoming providers as per work instructions
    • Performs primary source verifications of all practitioner credentials, which include licensure, DEA, NPDB, certifications, and additional required verifications
    • Performs data entry into various systems used to credential and re-credential staff
    • Communicates proactively with candidates and staff going through the credentialing process to ensure they receive and provide information in a timely fashion and remain appraised of their credentialing status
    • Maintains and tracks copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates and any other required credentialing documents for all providers and to ensure timely renewals
    • Maintain necessary logs, lists, records, and current documentation required for provider credentialing and re-credentialing
    • Maintains confidentiality and privacy of all provider information
    • Coordinates with other departments necessary
    • Provide regular reports on pending staff and those who have cleared credentialing
    • Meets all standards established for this position as outlined in the corresponding annual performance criteria and bonus template for this position
    • Performs other duties as may be assigned by Management

    Minimum Requirements:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in Credentialing
    • Strong data entry and telephone skills.
    • Outstanding technology skills with intermediate capability in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access).
    • Advanced ability navigating internet resources, including the ability to navigate through several databases and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the credentialing process.
    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced work environment.
    • Ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
    • Ability to work as a team member, as well as independently.
    • Previous experience with computers, phone systems, and headsets preferred.
    • Previous experience in claims review or claims auditor preferred.
    • Previous experience in customer service and call center preferred.
    • Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.

    Pay Transparency

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
