    Description & Requirements

    We are currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals interested in joining our team in support of an upcoming federal contract (pending award). This position will play a key role in delivering high-quality services to our government client and will be contingent upon contract award.

    As part of this project, you will support a federally funded initiative that provides essential medical readiness services-such as exams, screenings, dental care and preventive care-to individuals in remote or underserved areas. Services are delivered through a network of providers and mobile teams, with remote coordination and scheduling. The program ensures consistent access to care across dispersed populations and contributes to broader public service goals.

    The Credentialing Specialist Manager supervises all functions of the Credentialing Department. The Credentialing Department holds the primary responsibility for the input, management, categorization, screening, and processing of all credentialing paperwork and information related to each healthcare provider who is recruited by the Provider Recruiters, to ensure compliance with contractual credentialing requirements.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    - Supervise the creation and compilation of credentialing paperwork that each prospective provider is required to complete per the contract.
    - Assist credentialing specialists in sending credentialing paperwork to the providers.
    - Hold frequent meetings with the credentialing specialists to discuss new plans, tactics, and updates on how the department should operate.
    - Identify and provide full training on every facet of the credentialing process to all new and existing members of the Credentialing Department.
    - Periodically audit and review the work of the Credentialing Department in both credentialing packets and in the system(s) in order to ensure 100% accuracy and compliance with the contract.
    - Manage all facets of the credentialing process and ensures each provider is fully compliant with the contract.
    - Maintain frequent communication with the Provider Recruiting Manager with regard to the state of the Credentialing Department and any modifications that need to be made.
    - Reassign credentialing specialists and redistributes workload, as needed, in order to reach monthly goals.
    - Maintain communication with provider recruiters with regard to the credentialing status of each provider that they recruit.
    - Distribute credentialing packets as requested by the Recruiter, including HIPAA form.
    - Input providers’ credentialing, personal, legal, fiscal, medical, academic, and contact information into the systems(s), and creates a profile for each provider who has been 100% credentialed with the contract.

    - Continuously assess credentialing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.

    Minimum Requirements

    - Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study and 5+ years of relevant professional experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience. An applicant's salary history will not be used in determining compensation. Maximus will comply with regulatory minimum wage rates and exempt salary thresholds in all instances.
