    About the Position

    We're hiring a Supervisor-Outreach in Downstate NY. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about helping their community, interested in learning, and taking part in public health services and is growth oriented. This position will be responsible for developing relationships with the community and staff to increase program awareness and achieve project goals in the project for the NYMC Outreach department.

    This is a hybrid-remote position that will require 3-4 days of field travel within New York City.

    Education and Experience Requirements

    Position Summary:

    • Resolves project issues in coordination with project staff, LDSS office staff, and other community agencies
    • Conducts public speaking and education of community agencies and local office staff; participates in community health fairs; and performs group presentations and activities related to promoting the project
    • Reports issues, problems, and concerns to the Outreach Manager
    • Oversees efforts of Outreach Client Service Representatives
    • Maintains professionalism in presenting oneself as a MAXIMUS staff person and a promoter of the program
    • Conducts a combinations of site visits, staff monitoring and site audits at least twice a month per site or at the frequency determined by management
    • Responsible for hiring, training, supervising and developing Field Client Service Representatives

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in community settings involving health and/or human services
    • High School Diploma required
    • Preferred experience in a leadership/supervisory position
    • Ability to travel within the New York City area as needed
    • Reliable form of transportation, may include public transportation services
    • Experience working as part of a geographically wide team
    • Excellent people management skills; strong communication skills (written and oral)
    • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; strong organizational and time management skills
    • Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities / needs (multi-tasking ability)
    • Ability to work independently; proven ability to work effectively with community groups.
    • Must reside in State of New York.

    • Reliable high-speed internet service

      • Minimum 5 Mpbs upload speeds

    Pay Transparency

    Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate's education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Additionally, Maximus provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
