    The Procurement Department is looking for a self-motivated individual with strong communication skills in a Senior Procurement Analyst role. Not limited to the following, the ideal candidate will develop contracts and agreements, analyze scope of work, negotiate contracts and:

     

    1. Draft legal and administrative sections of contract documents; analyze and interpret technical sections of contracts to ensure provisions are clear and consistent with specification; obtain and complete price and delivery information, product literature and samples from suppliers.

    2. Collaborate with stakeholders on procurement methods and timelines for professional and specialized services and complex projects; draft requests for proposals or qualifications, deliverables and evaluation criteria.

    3. Manage bid solicitations including public meetings, inquiries, and published documents; analyze submissions and facilitate the evaluation and selection team of a contractor or vendor.

    4. Prepare contracts, reports, solicitation, contract records, and selection documents and contract management activities; prepare and route report information and board related documents and correspondence; resolve and documents contract management issues.

    5. Represent the work unit across different levels within the organization and externally with governmental agencies on procurement and distribution matters; complete outreach and promote inclusion of diverse suppliers to fairly compete and participate in bidding process and contract performance.

    6. Maintain and update contracts, agreements, and procurement files subject to audit and public records requests; complete other tasks as assigned.

    5. LEVERAGING TECHNOLOGY: Proficient in computer systems, MS Office Suite, ERP or other financial software.

    6. ETHICAL CONDUCT & INTEGRITY: Ability to perform work responsibilities with honesty and consistency.

    Required Experience

    EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

     

    • Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in acquisitions, business or public administration, engineering or a related field;

    • Four years of increasingly responsible professional experience in purchasing and/or in developing and administering public agency contracts;

    • Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

     

    PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS:

    Professional procurement certification from a national or accredited organization is preferred, but not required. 

     

    DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS, THE HIRING RANGE IS $67,570 - $87,867.
