Clarification from the agency Open to Current Permanent VA Employees Nationwide Only Share Announcement number IMP-10342555-19-CQB Control number 515494300 Videos Duties Duties Summary This position serves as the System Redesign Coordinator (SRC) and Improvement Specialist for the VA Hudson Valley Health Care System (HVHCS) and reports to the Chief of Quality Management Service. The incumbent will perform a variety of analytical, planning, advisory, evaluative and advisory work and will be the facility expert in the use of organizational analytic tools. Responsibilities The incumbent is the facility expert in the use of organizational analytic tools such as Strategic Analytics for Improvement and Learning (SAIL), Specialty Productivity- Access and Report Quadrant (SPARQ), Ambulatory Care Sensitive Conditions (ACSC), Efficiency Opportunity Grid (EOG), and the Veteran Equitable Resource Allocation (VERA) methodology. Also a key member of the Executive Team in determining strengths and weaknesses of the clinical performance of service lines, departments, and sections. Responsible for determining the need and scope of data gathering and analysis, leading teams in process improvement activities and projects and creating reporting metrics in support of boosting productivity, efficiency, and documentation of care provided. Facilitates education and training of employees in support of process improvements. Serves as the liaison to other medical centers in the establishment of local partnerships which assists the VHA meet the goals of serving Veterans. Responsible for leading many system-wide special projects that entail a variety of tasks and duties with limited supervision. Analyzes and evaluates, on a quantitative or qualitative basis. Responsible for identifying and proposing solutions to management problems; decides on necessary areas of research and/or analysis required to fufill projects or activities for the Executive Leadership Team. Utilizes the data mining process to explore large amounts of data from multiple sources allowing discovery of relationships and patterns in reference to productivity or performance issues. Develops reports, presentations, recommendations and proposals. Performs a critical role in organizational performance improvement and guides members of the interdisciplinary team through the improvement process. Provides administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the program. Provides advice and counsel to workers related to work and administrative matters. Identifies potential Green Belts and Yellow Belts, and recruits System Redesign project leaders into the System Redesign Infrastructure.
