Voluntary Service Officer - Wichita, KS - Overview Summary Duties The incumbent serves as Voluntary Services Officer (VSO) with full delegated authority and responsibility for designing a voluntary services program that meets the medical center's needs. The VSO serves as full advisor to top management on the VA VS program. The Incumbent takes a proactive role in meeting the Voluntary Service needs of the medical center and establishing a vital link with the community. This position also includes (but is not limited to) supervising staff. maintaining accounting records of General Post Funds, writing reports, maintaining volunteer data records as well as working with varied and numerous civic groups in development of volunteer opportunities at the Medical Center.
