    Transportation Assistant - Phoenix, AZ - Overview Summary Duties This position is located in the Veteran Transportation Services (VTS), Business Operations at the Phoenix VA Health Care System in Phoenix, AZ. The purpose of the position is to serve as primary contact to Veterans for transportation needs. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: · Collect, compile, and track data and statistical information in support of VTS · Review documents, reports, and/or applications of omissions and inconsistencies · Maintain automated system of program-specific data to track items · Interact with various other transportation services and providers · Coordinate service practices that decrease waits and delays for patients in all specialty areas ·Utilize various automated systems in processing internal consultations · Assist the Mobility Manager in planning and directing programs that provide VTS support services functions ·Validate program workload and ensure reporting is accurate · Coordinate the day-to-day operation of VTS program flow, processes and functions · Provide advisory services to the Mobility managers, Operating managers, and supervisors · Perform other related duties as assigned Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met.
