All others should apply to Vacancy Announcement - CBDI-10346683-18-TC Responsibilities Position Summary: The Whole Health System (WHS) Program Coordinator is a subject matter expert (SME) who serves as a leader in the transformation of health care from a disease-based model of care to a pro-active, patient-driven model of care, delivered in a Whole Health System. The Coordinator works collaboratively and strategically with facility leadership, and Service Chiefs throughout the VA Healthcare System and VISN. The position is responsible for supervision of whole health system staff. The Coordinator provides leadership in the application of the Whole Health principles and organizational processes that result in improved outcomes. The Coordinator utilizes specialized knowledge of the clinical and administrative aspects of the Whole Health System, including the ability to foster transformation. The Coordinator assists in planning, establishing, and implementing Medical Center policies and procedures; serves on the whole health strategic planning or steering committee (or equivalent oversight committee) and oversees strategic plan, goal setting, and monitoring and evaluation of facility outcomes Work Schedule: Normal work days/hours will be Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with work day/hours' flexibility required as administrative and/or clinical demands require. This position will be on the administrative pay scale. Travel: Incumbent will be required to report and/or travel between all locations of the Orlando VA Medical Center. Grade Determinations : The following criteria must be met in determining the grade assignment of candidates, and if appropriate, the level within a grade: Nurse II - A BSN with approximately 2-3 years of nursing practice/experience; OR ADN or Diploma in Nursing and a Bachelor's degree in a related field and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Master's degree in nursing or related field with a BSN and approximately 1-2 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree in nursing or meets basic requirements for appointment and has doctoral degree in a related field with no additional nursing practice/experience required. Nurse III - Master's degree in nursing or related field with BSN and approximately 2-3 year's of nursing practice/experience; OR a Doctoral degree. Preferred Experience: A Master of Science Degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field. National certification in Nursing Administration and/or Ambulatory Care Nursing. Current or recent (within last 3 years) Primary Care/PACT first-line nursing management experience is highly desired. Demonstrated skills in effectively managing human resources in previous assignments. Demonstrated skills in effectively collaborating with and directing multidisciplinary teams in previous assignments. Advanced knowledge of computer systems and standard software programs required. Knowledge and understanding of Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA) regulations/ policies/procedures.
