    Job Description

    The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst is responsible for managing the ERP data and reporting for the OPAL ERP and DW/BI project. The ERP Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst’s focus areas include implementation of all analytics and reporting aspects of the ERP project including BI and third-party applications. This is a permanent exempt position that will move to maintenance and support after the project is complete.

    The purpose of this position is to work on a team that will analyze the reporting and analytics requirements of the project and refine them, work with a team of implementation consultants to design the system, conduct initial user acceptance testing, train city personnel, help to integrate the system with other city software, and software launch. Reports and dashboards will be primarily built within the Workday environment, but additional third-party reporting tools may be considered. After the project is launched, the team will conduct an optimization phase by analyzing and implementing changes to improve performance. As the Workday ERP is a Software as a Service (SaaS) model it follows the continuous process improvement methodology.

    Essential Functions
    Throughout the OPAL ERP and DW/BI project, the ERP Data Analytics and Reporting Analyst will:
    • Communicate with functional users to clarify requirements and testing.
    • Determine which available reporting tools are appropriate to meet reporting requirements.
    • Develop report development effort estimates.
    • Review and approve report specifications.
    • Confirm delivered report meet standards.
    • Represent analytics and reporting when collaborating with functional and technical teams.
    • Lead break fix and regression testing efforts.
    • Participate in regression testing efforts after system updates.
    • Look for opportunities to incrementally optimize data workflows.
    • Work alongside the functional teams (Finance & Grants and Supply Chain & Procurement) by participating in learning opportunities, suggest data analytics and reporting prospects, and providing feedback on how data can improve processes.

    • Meeting presentation and end user training delivery skills.
    • Ability to work well with individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
    • Supervising, coaching and collaborating skills.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Completion of a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in information systems, computer engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience;
    • Technical expertise with data reporting tools and programming languages such as SQL, R, or Python;3-5 years of experience with ERP systems, 3rd Party Applications and related integrations.
    • Experience with implementing ERP and/or DW/BI solutions is strongly preferred.

    Additional Information

    Salary Not to Exceed: $90,000

    Starting salary to be determined based on experience and qualifications.
