Key Requirements * Must be a current, permanent FBI employee * Must be able to obtain an SCI clearance Major Duties * Releases factual statements involving a complex array of sensitive issues. * Ensures approval for press conferences and media events from appropriate officials. * Evaluates and analyzes requests from the media to interview FBI officials regarding topics that are sensitive and/or controversial. * Establishes and maintains effective relationships with the national media and special interest groups including those with indifferent opposing goals. * Writes and disseminates national news releases to media representatives on issues that reflect the official position of the Director.
