Overview Conducts individual, group, and family counseling for detainees and non-detainees at Fort Bend County Juvenile Detention Center/Probation Department. Responsibilities Counseling, evaluation, reporting and research. Half of the internship will be spent in direct service delivery to children and families and the other half is to be spent performing indirect activities. Conducts basic diagnostic interviews with children and teens, interviews parents and school officials. Provides counseling to detained and non-detained juveniles and their families. Administers assessments on the abilities and interests of detainees at the center. Qualifications Interns must have completed requirements for a Masters Degree in Psychology (or related field) and passed the Texas State Board of Examiners exam. Must have LPC-Intern licensure. Must be able to work at least two evenings per week.
