Note: Some positions may require P.O.S.T. certification. Preferred Qualification: 1. One year of full-time experience in directing through subordinate managers, activities and staff appropriate to the area of assignment (i.e., security or care and treatment) at a state correctional facility operated by the Georgia Department of Corrections. 2. Two years of full-time experience in directing through subordinate managers, activities and staff appropriate to the area of assignment (i.e. , security or care and treatment) in a correctional setting outside of the Georgia Department of Corrections or in a community-based care and treatment or similar program/organization. 3. Completion of an undergraduate degree in criminal justice, one of the behavioral sciences (e.g. Counseling, psychology , sociology, etc.), or a related field at a four year college or university.
