  • Responsibilities

    The Business Development Intern is responsible for leveraging quantitative and independent research skills in analysis of large, complex and incomplete data sets to identify and assess potential business opportunities that result in measurable revenue growth. The Intern will learn to develop an overall win strategy as well as internal and external partnerships, business plans and associated marketing assigned with designated opportunities.

    Job Description Summary:

    • Identify and determine business requirements and define processes, including clarification on any requirement discrepancies.
    • Understand business problems and opportunities in the context of requirements and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.
    • Extract, tabulate, and analyze data to support program activity and assist in management decision making.
    • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to new processes, functionality, and/or proposed solutions.
    • Processes all Production Support Requests by receiving defect reports and cross-referencing the defect with the business requirements.
    • Developing user cases and user stories for proposed solutions

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program.
    • May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
    • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.
    • General application of concepts & principles.
    • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects & goals.
    • Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
    • Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
    • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or manager.
  • Qualifications
    • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
    • Preferred fields of study: Human Resources, Business, Psychology, Communications, or a related field of study.
    • Self-motivated with a strong work initiative and attention to detail.
    • Strong customer service, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Demonstrated experience collaborating in a team environment.
    • Passion for learning with a wide degree of creativity and curiosity.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 applications
