We are looking for an experienced People Operations (HR) Generalist who is passionate about employee wellbeing and total rewards (benefits, compensation, recognition). Reporting to the SVP People, you will play a key role in attracting, motivating and retaining employees through your administration and implementation of innovative and sustainable rewards programs.

We're excited about someone who is employee-centric and innovative and looking to do more than just update employee handbooks (although to be honest, you'll do this too). In this role, you'll work with a talented and dedicated People Team. Our mission as a department is to be the champion of our culture. We help our people do their best work everyday.

The ideal candidate brings experience in several of the following areas: benefits administration, people analytics, HRIS systems (we use Namely), leaves of absence, employee wellbeing, compensation, compliance and total rewards. Here you will use your human resources experience to tackle the challenge of a rapidly scaling company. The People Operations Generalist will help us refine the human resources processes, platforms, and frameworks that Housecall Pro will use as we scale.

At Housecall Pro, we're committed to making the everyday lives of home services professionals better by helping them to connect mobile software into their workflow...freeing them to focus on what they do best. The home services industry remains vast ($700b+) but untouched by technology and unencumbered by a primary competitor. The 3M+ mobile businesses in home services are facing dramatic change as the world shifts from offline to online. Together, we are quickly becoming the backbone operating system for service labor across the US and Canada. ABOUT THE ROLE:

    • Plan, design and manage our benefits program (medical, dental, vision, disability, life, 401K, employee assistance, etc.) including benefits broker relationships and budgets
    • Manage employee leaves of absence (disability, maternity, family, etc.)
    • Promote employee health and wellbeing with a focus on an inclusive culture
    • Conduct benefit surveys to evaluate employee preferences
    • Communicate regularly with employees to promote our benefits offerings and offer wellbeing resources, coaching and support
    • Manage and expand employee recognition and reward (we use Bonusly)
    • Contribute to architecture decisions in the HRIS system, Namely
    • Lead the design, implementation and automation of people analytics dashboards and tools for providing insights (turnover, diversity, internal mobility, employee exit surveys, paid time off usage)
    • Compile compensation information for new and existing roles within the organization to ensure that we are paying to market value
    • Update and maintain the digital employee handbook as we grow and expand into new states and cities
    • Work with the Finance team to ensure the short and long term headcount forecasts are represented accurately in the financial model
    • Design and lead special projects as assigned

    ABOUT YOU:

    • Proven experience in a human resources generalist, specialist, benefits administrator, business partner (HRBP) or people operations role with an emphasis on systems and processes (people analytics, benefits, compensation, HRIS, compliance, leaves of absence administration, safety, diversity, and employment law)
    • Education: BA/BS degree with a strong GPA or other measurement of success (balancing school and other responsibilities for example)
    • Desire to have fun at work (yes, fun is in the job description)
    • Ability to implement HR processes and systems that can scale such as leaves of absence (LOA) tracking
    • SHRM or PHR certification or desire to achieve certification
    • Interest in growing within the human resources profession
    • You are passionate about people and culture; you want to make work life better
    • Ability and willingness to be flexible and nimble in the work you do; we're in a growth mode
