    Housecall Pro is headquartered in beautiful San Diego, CA and has recently announced plans for a Denver, CO hub. We are currently fully remote, although excited to introduce a hybrid work model in the future that will allow for a combination of both remote and in-office work. We are currently open to candidates in San Diego or Denver, or those planning to move there.

    The home services industry remains vast ($700b+) but relatively untouched by technology and unencumbered by a primary competitor.     THE ROLE: SVP, PRODUCT

    The Senior Vice President of Product will play a pivotal role in the future of Housecall Pro by driving product strategy, product development prioritization, product road-mapping, and product team execution. In this role, you will lay out a compelling product vision and strategy that includes a strong understanding of who our customers are, what it means to win in our market, how to differentiate us as a product and company, and how to build compelling and remarkable products for our customers (the Pros). Key to your success is an ability to advocate for and make cross-functional, strategic trade-offs; you will work closely with technology leadership to ensure quality and timely delivery of company products.

    The SVP of Product will report to the CEO and manage a team of product managers and product designers. 

    WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

    • Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.
    • Own product lifecycle management and processes from concept to launch of the product(s) across all products/product lines. 
    • Active participant in developing company strategy while owning its translation into product strategy and product road map; communicate product strategy to all stakeholders.
    • Direct product planning and assignment of tasks and deliverables.
    • Prioritize product decisions and launches; monitor product development progress and evaluate results.
    • Recruit, lead, manage and mentor a team focused on delivering products that satisfy the needs of customers (our Pros).
    • Empower product managers to work effectively and get things done. Help product managers on your team navigate competing interests and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales and operations teams to develop the voice of the customer.
    • Oversee and conduct customer product research (qualitative & quantitative along with marketing) and user experience testing.
    • Define competitive positioning for each product.
    • Develop and define budgets, forecasts, and product metrics.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Experience operating within a product management capacity including v1 development of new products and managing product portfolios
    • Experience managing and developing product managers
    • Experience building cross-functional relationships within organizations
    • Experience managing product roadmap prioritization based on customer usage data foundation and analytical rigor
    • Experience beyond Product Management will be viewed positively
    • Demonstrated ability to understand how to solve problems for a customer base
    • A sensitivity to the trade-offs between product perfection and time to market
    • Ability to understand and articulate product planning and execution trade-offs
    • Familiar with modern software development methodologies
    • Analytical foundation for roadmap prioritization
