    Job Summary:

    The Human Capital Specialist will provide guidance in one or more functional areas of the human capital department (e.g., recruitment, hiring, new hire orientation, I-9's, reports, payroll, benefits, data management, assisting external walk in applicants and internal employees, employee wellness and engagement, accommodations, leave management, investigations, progressive discipline, termination, unemployment claims, along with helping ensure department policy and process consistency and effectiveness).

    Essential Job Duties:

    • Prepare or maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions
    • Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations
    • Inform job applicants of details such as duties and responsibilities, compensation, benefits, schedules, working conditions, or promotion opportunities
    • Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns
    • Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)
    • Maintain and update human resources documents, such as organizational charts, directories, or performance evaluation forms
    • Confer with management to develop or implement personnel policies or procedures
    • Perform other duties as may be assigned by executive management
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of experience.
    • May have additional training or education in area of specialization.
    • Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope & complexity.
    • General application of concepts & principles.
    • Contributes to the completion of organizational projects & goals.
    • Frequent use and general knowledge of industry practices, techniques, and standards.
    • Applies knowledge and skills to complete a wide range of tasks.
    • Communicates on complex or sensitive issues or drafts such responses for supervisor or manager.
