    Description & Requirements

    We are seeking an Information Systems Security Officer to join our team to assist the ISSMs in meeting their duties and responsibilities.

    This role is on-site, five days a week and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. This role is contingent upon contract award.

    Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implement and enforce all DoD Information Systems and Platform IT system cybersecurity policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation.
    • Ensure that all users have the requisite security clearances and access authorization, and are aware of their cybersecurity responsibilities for DoD IS and PIT systems under their purview before being granted access to those systems.
    • In coordination with the ISSM, initiate protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered and ensure that a process is in place for authorized users to report all cybersecurity-related events and potential threats and vulnerabilities to the ISSO.
    • Ensure that all DoD IS cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals.
    • Review reports from static code analysis, Pen Testing, and Scanning Results.
    • Review network, data flow, org charts, etc...for potential vulnerabilities related to processes or personnel.

    Job-Specific Minimum Requirements:

    • Candidates must have an active TS/SCI Security Clearance.
    • BS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
    • 5 years’ experience in executing “life cycle” Information Assurance / Cybersecurity.
    • 5 years of progressively complex experience in the development, integration, and implementation of cyber security and program protection standards for networking, computers, and custom application development.
    • Candidates must hold an appropriate Information Assurance (IA) baseline certification that aligns with their position category, specialty, and level, in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M (IA Workforce Improvement Program, Appendix 1), DoD Manual 8140.03 (Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program), DFARS 252.239-7001 (IA Contractor Training and Certification), and AR 25-2 (Army Cybersecurity).

    Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

    • Candidates possessing advanced certifications to meet Information Assurance Technical Level 3 certifications: (CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, CCSP). will be given preference.
    • Thorough knowledge of NIST 800 series Special Publications, Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) and other relevant federal and DoD cybersecurity regulations.
    • Experience in creating and maintaining security configuration baselines for Windows and Linux platforms, networking equipment, cloud technologies and custom hardware and software applications.

Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
