Dress for Interview / Business clothing 6. Military DD214 if you have one {if you possess one} SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing security services at assigned locations. Duties include, but are not limited to; foot patrol of interior and exterior areas of assigned locations. Have the ability to report suspicious activities and persons, write detailed narrative reports, maintain daily activity reports, enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned: Protecting various medical facilities and deterring theft by physical presence while making checks throughout Client Agency Facility. Reporting of unusual conditions to the proper personnel, including law enforcement Maintaining security logs; writing reports; and notifying the appropriate personnel. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, and shall have the ability to speak, read, and write the English language; understand and carry out oral and written directions; write accurate and clear reports; and monitor environmental and electronic security systems. Monitoring the entry and exit of personnel at Client Agency facilities; inspecting facilities to ensure doors, windows, and roofs are secure. Minimum 1 3 years of professional-level experience required. Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement and/or military preferred. Experience in scheduling, operations or other functions of security industry a plus. Valid California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) Officer License, or have applied and subsequently be issued one prior to employment. As a condition of employment, employees must successfully complete a background investigation. Current drivers license, with a clean driving record (no points in prior 3 years), and the ability to safely operate a golf cart and/or vehicle. If not assigned to a driving assignment, then must have a valid state issued Identification card. Current CPR and First Aid Certifications. Must be available to work weekends and holidays. Write effective and concise reports in neat, legible handwriting is required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software a considerable plus. Energetic and focused personality with a demonstrated ability to take initiative, successfully handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments and effectively manage deadlines. Professional, articulate and able to use good independent judgment and discretion. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills required. Ability to successfully interact at all levels of the organization, including with clients, while functioning as a team player required. Operation of complex computer equipment for fire, intrusion, and other types of alarm systems. Position may be armed or unarmed, dependent on client requirement. PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via telephone), and be able to read computer screens, correspondence and reports. Must be fully capable of performing work requiring moderate to arduous physical exertion. Tuberculosis Test (TB) Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen examination within six (6) months prior to their assignment. This is a 6-panel drug screen, which must have the ability to detect the use of: marijuana, cocaine, heroin, amphetamines, opiates, and benzodiazepines. Must constantly walk, stand, reach with hands and arms, and may drive a vehicle. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. May be required to climb stairs, ladders or ramps on a regular basis. May require periodic running. Perform in various environments, including outdoors, in parking structures, and in office settings, and the employee may be subject to adverse conditions such as rain, cold or heat for extended periods of time. The ambient noise level is usually quiet, consisting of normal conversations, business machines (copiers, printers, etc.) and telephones, but occasionally may be above-normal for portions of the shift. Must be able to concentrate on details, work under deadline pressures, apply sound logic and judgment, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities. May be required to remain at your post (held over - past your schedule of hours) until properly relieved.
