Maximus is currently hiring for an International Veteran Liaison Officer to join our Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team. This is a remote opportunity. The International Veteran Liaison Officer is responsible for addressing all Veteran clients’ concerns, disputes, scheduling requests, and issues that may arise throughout the course of handling VA requested Compensation and Pension (C&P) exams. The role is also responsible for educating veterans on VES and VA procedures, resolving potential problems, responding to negative feedback from Veterans and/or Providers, and responding to feedback/follow ups via email or follow up calls.
- Due to contract requirements, only a US Citizen or a Green Card holder can be considered for this opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming calls directly from upset veterans.
- Receive incoming calls transferred from the call center.
- Communicate with potentially violent, homicidal and/or suicidal veterans.
- Process exam cancellations.
- Review pending no- show cases and processes them accordingly.
- Coordinate and processes reschedule as necessary.
- Review AMTIS Survey cards and follow up with veteran if necessary.
- Update status for pending no- show cases.
- Remove/edit no- show letters posted in error.
- Send clarification request via VBMS to communicate with the VA.
- Provide and assist qualifying Veterans with travel reimbursement guidelines.
- Gather, review, forward, and monitor Veteran travel reimbursement requests.
- Manage and update Provider complaints and OOA trackers.
- Gather information for in-home exam requests for severely disabled Veterans.
- Assist in requesting information from Veterans as needed by the quality control team.
- Ability to work a training work shift of 8:00am-4:30pm CST Monday-Friday required
- Ability to work a regular work shift 10:00am-6:30pm CST Monday-Friday after training concludes required
- Please note upon hire, Veteran Evaluation Services (VES), a Maximus Co. will provide all necessary computer equipment that is to be utilized to fulfil the duties of your role. New hires will not be exempt from using company provided equipment
- Home Office Requirements Using Maximus-Provided Equipment:
- Internet speed of 20mbps or higher required (you can test this by going to [1] www.speedtest.net)
- Connectivity to the internet via either Wi-Fi or Category 5 or 6 ethernet patch cable to the home router
- Private work area and adequate power source
- Must currently and permanently reside in the Continental US
- In accordance with SCA contract requirements, remote work must be conducted from the location specified at the time of hire. Travel is not permitted, and you are required to remain at your designated home location for all work activities.
Minimum Requirements
- Military Service Required.
- High School Diploma or GED Required.
- Maximus Veterans Evaluation Services (VES) team experience preferred
